In a heartfelt post on Instagram, Davids thanked President Mo Dewji for his “inspiring leadership, vision, and constant support,” while also paying tribute to the players, staff, and supporters.

“It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to Simba SC. From the moment I arrived, I felt the passion of this great club and the love of its incredible fans,” he wrote.

Davids urged the players to “keep fighting, keep believing, and keep lifting the badge with honour,” while hailing the fans as the “heartbeat of this club” whose voices and passion “will forever echo in my memory.”

He concluded by wishing Simba “endless success, prosperity, and trophies ahead,” signing off with, “Asanteni Sana, forever Nguvu Moja ❤️🦁.”

He has since been announced by Raja Club Sports as head coach of the first team.

Davids was instrumental in the club’s historic 2023-2024 season, contributing to an unbeaten Botola Pro championship and playing a key role in the Throne Cup as assistant coach.

His appointment is based on his deep experience with the club, with the aim of strengthening team cohesion and driving Raja towards its sporting and institutional goals. The decision aligns with the club’s ongoing sports project, focused on building a stable and forward-looking structure.

The club also called on fans to continue their support as Raja embarks on this new chapter.
