According to the CAF Appeal Board Media Statement released on Tuesday, 17 March 2026, the Senegal National Team has been declared to have forfeited the final of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025, awarding a 3–0 victory to Morocco.

The decision follows an appeal by the Fédération Royale Marocaine de Football (FRMF) under Articles 82 and 84 of the CAF regulations. The board found that Senegal’s conduct violated tournament rules, overturning a previous CAF Disciplinary Board decision.

The board also ruled on other disciplinary matters:

Morocco player Ismaël Saibari received a two-match suspension (one match suspended), with a previously imposed USD 100,000 fine canceled.

Ball boys incident – FRMF’s fine reduced to USD 50,000.

Interference near the OFR/VAR review area, FRMF’s USD 100,000 fine confirmed.

Laser incident, FRMF’s fine reduced to USD 10,000.

All other motions were dismissed.

The ruling officially crowns Morocco as the AFCON 2025 champions following Senegal’s forfeiture.
