The DStv Diski Challenge served up an action-packed Sunday at Princess Magogo Stadium, headlined by a thrilling Soweto Derby.

Kaizer Chiefs came from behind to defeat log leaders Orlando Pirates 2-1 and claim derby bragging rights.

Pirates took the lead in the 15th minute after Kabelo Nkgwesa was sent off for a handball in the box, with Mpho Padime calmly converting the resulting penalty. Despite being a man down, Chiefs responded well as Steven Mendes fired home from close range to level matters.

Amakhosi completed the turnaround early in the second half, with Kamo Malefo finishing from close range after good work by Naledi Hlongwane.

The win secured derby honours for Chiefs while dealing a blow to Pirates at the top of the standings.

On another fixture, Richards Bay FC ended a five-game winless run with a 2-1 victory over Chippa United.

Khaya Ndlangamandla opened the scoring before Avuzwa Mbembe equalised late on, but Mtabela Phelelani struck in the 84th minute to seal the win.

It was a day of drama and resilience, with young talents continuing to shine in the DStv Diski Challenge.
