Kaizer Chiefs produced a composed and clinical second-half performance to secure a 3-1 victory over Orbit College, overturning an early setback in an entertaining encounter.


Mswenko boys started on the front foot and were rewarded in the 22nd minute when Mbulelo Wagaba opened the scoring. The forward capitalised on a well-weighted assist from lebohang Lesako to give the hosts a deserved 1-0 lead.


AmaKhosi responded with greater urgency as the half progressed, and their persistence paid off just before the interval. In the 42nd minute, Wandile Duba restored parity, finishing confidently after being set up by Bradley Cross, ensuring the sides went into halftime level at 1-1.


The visitors returned from the break with renewed intent and began to assert control over proceedings. Their dominance was rewarded in the 68th minute when Mduduzi Shabalala found the back of the net. The midfielder produced a composed finish following a well-constructed move, with Thabiso Monyane providing the assist to hand Amakhosi a 2-1 advantage.


Kaizer Chiefs continued to dictate the tempo and effectively put the result beyond doubt in the 78th minute. Substitute Siphesihle Ndlovu added a third goal, calmly converting after being played through by Flavio da Silva, who made an immediate impact off the bench.


Orbit College struggled to regain their early momentum as Chiefs controlled possession and managed the closing stages with discipline. Despite a promising start from the hosts, it was Kaizer Chiefs’ quality, depth, and tactical adjustments in the second half that ultimately proved decisive.
