Mpheni Defenders have once again been crowned Limpopo ABC Motsepe League Stream A champions, following a decisive result on Saturday.
A 1-1 draw against Baduzah Celtics on Saturday proved enough to secure the final point they needed to mathematically wrap up the title, confirming Mpheni’s dominance once again this season.

Champions Once Again
Having led the standings for much of the season, Mpheni Defenders have now sealed the Stream A title with games to spare. Their consistency and experience have once again proven too strong for the rest of the pack.
The draw against Baduzah Celtics may not have been a victory but it delivered exactly what was required, the point that confirmed them as champions.

Stream B Title Race Still Wide Open
The latest results have kept the Stream B title race finely balanced heading into the final rounds.
Mighty FC strengthened their position at the top with a crucial win, while Ngwaabe City Motors remain close behind after securing all three points. Ramatlaohle United dropped points, allowing Makotopong Bahumi and Mohlabile United to stay firmly in contention.
With each team set to play a total of 22 matches, the battle for top spot in Stream B is expected to go down to the wire, with only a few points separating the leading sides.
What’s Next?
With Stream A secured, Mpheni Defenders now turn their attention to the next challenge. They will await the outcome of Stream B to determine their opponents in the provincial decider.
The winner of that clash will represent Limpopo in the National ABC Motsepe League promotional playoffs, where promotion to the Motsepe Foundation Championship is at stake.
For now, it’s mission accomplished for Mpheni Defenders, champions once again, with their eyes now firmly set on the next step.
