CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe has reiterated that he has no intention of remaining in office beyond his second term, saying African football will continue to thrive under new leadership.

Speaking to the media, Motsepe made it clear that no one will convince him to extend his stay as CAF President.

The South African football administrator stressed the importance of leadership renewal, adding that fresh ideas are essential for the continued growth of the game across the continent.

Motsepe also expressed confidence in the future of African football beyond his presidency.

The 64-year-old, who was first elected CAF President in 2021 and re-elected for a second term, said his priority remains serving African football during the remainder of his mandate before handing over to the next generation of leadership.
