Orlando Pirates captain Nkosinathi Sibisi has called on the club’s supporters to be patient with the team’s emerging talents, while expressing his belief that teenage midfielder Kabelo “Cara Cara” Kgositsile has a bright future at the club.

Speaking at the MTN8 launch in Randburg, Sibisi praised Kgositsile after the youngster impressed on his senior debut, but cautioned against placing unnecessary pressure on the club’s promising prospects.

“Kabelo is a very good player,” Sibisi said. “We have many talented young stars in this team, and it’s important that the fans allow them to develop at their own pace.”

The Buccaneers skipper also urged supporters to avoid comparing the youngsters to established rising stars such as Relebohile Mofokeng and Mohau Nkota, stressing that every player follows a different development path.

Sibisi believes the former Baroka FC youngster, affectionately known as “Cara Cara”, has the qualities to become a key player for Orlando Pirates in the years ahead.

Pirates will turn their attention to their MTN8 quarter-final clash against Durban City at Orlando Stadium on Saturday as they begin their quest for another domestic cup title.
