Kaizer Chiefs captain and goalkeeper Brandon Petersen has praised new signing Langelihle Phili after the midfielder’s first training sessions at Naturena, saying he immediately saw the quality the youngster brings to the squad.
Speaking to members of the media at the MTN8 launch in Randburg, Petersen revealed that Phili made a strong first impression at Chiefs Village.
“The moment I saw him in training, I said, ‘This is the real deal.’ He’s going to fit into this team like a glove as time goes on, and I believe he’s going to offer a lot to Kaizer Chiefs,” Petersen said.
Chiefs will now turn their attention to their MTN8 clash against Golden Arrows, with the two sides set to meet on Sunday at FNB Stadium. Kick-off is scheduled for 18:00.
