Netball South Africa has promoted Karla Victor to its list of contracted national players, while Luca Keun has been added as a training partner.
The changes, announced on 23 October 2026, follow the retirement of two senior players from the national team setup.
Victor was previously part of the training partner pool, while Keun has now joined the wider squad as a training partner.
Netball South Africa president Mami Diale welcomed the additions, highlighting the depth of talent and promising future of the national team.
The addition of both Karla Victor and Luca Keun to the pool of the squad speaks volumes about the growth of the sport, the depth in our squad and the talent that we have in the country,” said Diale.
She added that the relatively young age of the squad reflected a bright future for the national team and congratulated both players on earning their opportunities.
Victor joins a contracted group that includes Nicholè Breedt, Khanyisa Chawane, Kyla Dames, Thulisile Maduna, Kamogelo Maseko, Tarle Mathe, Owethu Ngubane, Refiloe Nketsa, Nozipho Ntshangase, Nicola Smith, Rolene Streukter, Elmerè van der Berg, Tinita van Dyk, Juanita van Tonder, Jamie Golob and Sanmarie Visser.
Keun joins the training partners alongside Sanelisiwe Ntobela, Anè Retief, Inè-Mari Venter, Reratilwe Letsoalo, Entle Futshane, Phophi Nematangari, Nonsikelelo Mazibuko, Amber CoraizIn and Xandri Fourie.
The adjustments form part of the national team’s preparations as South African netball continues to develop its talent pool ahead of future international competitions.
