Baroka FC have confirmed the signing of experienced central midfielder Thato Mokeke as part of their squad rebuild ahead of the new Motsepe Foundation Championship season.
The 35-year-old, known for his composure and vision in the heart of midfield, joins after a short spell with Upington City. Mokeke brings a wealth of top-flight experience, having previously played for Cape Town City, Cape Town Spurs, SuperSport United, and Ajax Cape Town, as well as earning national team caps for Bafana Bafana.

Mokeke is one of nine new signings for Bakgaga, as they strive to get back to the Betway Premiership. Other new signings are Siyabonga Villane [Striker], Gift Muvhali [Right-back], Thapelo Makuwa [Left-back], Morris Buthane [Midfielder], Reshoketswi Mantjane [winger], Tetelo Lekwatsipa [midfielder], Harris Seoka [Right-back] and Moseki Shongoane [defender].
Mokeke’s leadership and calm presence are expected to add steel and structure to the Limpopo side’s engine room.
