The South African Football Association (SAFA) has announced that Bafana Bafana will host their highly anticipated 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Nigeria at the Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein next month. Fans can expect an increase in ticket prices for this crucial match.
Coach Hugo Broos’ squad will welcome the Super Eagles to the Free State Stadium at 18:00 on Tuesday, 9 September 2025. This follows their away match against Lesotho, which will also be hosted at the same stadium just a few days earlier, on Friday, 5 September 2025, at 18:00. The Lesotho Football Association has informed SAFA that they will communicate ticket details at a later stage.
Ticket prices for the home game against Nigeria will be phased in over three stages, with the following prices:
Phase One (R70 for adults, R40 for children under 12): Available only at the Free State Stadium from Saturday, 2 August 2025 during the following hours:
Saturday: 08:00 – 14:00
Sunday: 09:00 – 14:00
WeekDays: 08:30 – 16:30
Phase Two (R100): Available nationally at all Ticketpro outlets from Saturday, 9 August 2025.
Phase Three (R150 for the Grand Stand area): Available from Saturday, 16 August 2025 at various outlets, including Spar, SuperSpar, Postnet, and participating Shell, BP, and SASOL garages.
Ticket prices have been slightly increased compared to usual prices, reflecting the importance of this high-profile fixture.
As of now, Bafana Bafana is at the top of their group in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers with 13 points. They will be looking to extend their lead in the group by securing victories in both their upcoming matches against Lesotho and Nigeria.
