The MTN8 final will once again feature Orlando Pirates and Stellenbosch FC, after both sides secured their places in Saturday’s semi-final second legs.

At the Lucas Moripe Stadium, Pirates drew 1-1 with Mamelodi Sundowns, before holding their nerve in the penalty shootout. Goalkeeper Sipho Chaine produced two crucial saves as the Buccaneers triumphed 4-1 on spot-kicks to book their fourth straight final appearance.

In Polokwane, Stellenbosch held Sekhukhune United to a 1-1 draw, progressing 3-2 on aggregate thanks to their solid first-leg advantage.

The final will be a repeat of the 2024 MTN8 showdown, where Pirates defeated Stellies 3-1 to clinch a historic third consecutive title. Now, the Buccaneers stand on the brink of rewriting their own history as they chase an unprecedented fourth straight MTN8 crown, while Stellenbosch will be desperate to avenge last year’s heartbreak and claim their first title.
The Premier Soccer League will announce a date, time and venue for the final in due course.
