AmaZulu FC were crowned the 2026 KZN Premier’s Cup champions after a commanding 2-0 victory over Milford FC in the tournament final at Princess Magogo Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Usuthu made the perfect start, taking the lead in the 11th minute when Sandile Mthethwa rose highest to head home a pinpoint cross from Kgomotjo Lekoloane, giving AmaZulu an early advantage.
The Durban outfit continued to control proceedings and doubled their lead just before the break. In the 43rd minute, Lekoloane cut inside before unleashing a superb strike to beat the goalkeeper, scoring his first goal for AmaZulu FC and putting his side firmly in control.
AmaZulu had the opportunity to extend their lead further in the second half after being awarded a penalty, but Tebogo Mashigo was unable to convert from the spot.
Despite the missed penalty, Milford were unable to find a way back into the contest as Usuthu comfortably saw out the remainder of the match to secure a 2-0 victory.
