Dikwena Tsa Meetse showed attacking intent from the outset, lining up Thabang Sibanyoni, Kgomotso Mosadi, and Mcedisi Vandala in a lively front three as they looked to put pressure on the opposition defence.

While Chilli boys , relied on Sinoxolo Kwayiba to spearhead their attack, with the forward tasked with leading the line for the visitors. The Chilli Boys also featured experienced defender Bongani Sam, the former Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates player, who brought valuable experience to the backline.

Chippa United went in search of the opener after winning a free-kick just outside the box following a foul. Azola Matrose stepped up to take the set-piece, but his effort failed to hit the target and did not trouble Magesi goalkeeper Elvis Chipezeze.

Dikwena Tsa Meetse responded on the half-hour mark and came close to taking the lead when Mcedisi Vandala latched onto a delivery from Lehlogonolo Mokone during a swift counter-attack, but his effort went narrowly wide of the target.

However, the Chippa United weathered the spell of pressure and struck just before halftime. Ayabulela Konqobe put the Chilli Boys ahead with a well-taken finish after a quality delivery from Bongani Sam, giving the visitors the advantage heading into the break.

Despite the renewed attacking efforts, the game continued to favor the visitors as Chippa United doubled their lead. Somila Ntsundwana capitalized on a precise delivery from Justice Figareido, bundling the ball into the net to put the Chilli Boys two goals ahead.

Chippa got a lifeline after the opening-quarter of the second period as Vandala who have probed all afternoon halved the arrears with a well-taken strike from the centre of the area.

The Chippa United’s advantage was cut short in the dying minutes as Sifiso Luthuli created space in the box to meet a precise delivery from Nyakala Raphadu. Luthuli’s composed finish found the back of the net, allowing Dikwena Tsa Meetse to salvage a valuable point for the bottom-placed side.
