A blockbuster showdown awaits at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday as the Bulls Daisies and Boland Dames clash in the 2026 Pick n Pay Women’s Super League final.

The defending champions, Bulls Daisies, will be aiming to secure an unprecedented fourth consecutive title, while the Boland Dames are chasing their first-ever Premier Division crown in what promises to be an entertaining and high-quality encounter.

Kick-off is scheduled for 11:00, with the match broadcast live on SuperSport Variety 1.

The Daisies head into the final as overwhelming favourites, boasting a squad packed with international experience across the park. Their consistency throughout the season has been remarkable, having won all seven of their league matches with an average scoreline of 66-7, while racking up an impressive 73 tries, an average of 10 per game.

Standout performers for the Pretoria outfit include Jakkie Cilliers, the leading points scorer in the competition with 86 points, alongside Thobile Msizazwe, who has contributed 55 points and leads the try-scoring charts with 11 tries. Players such as Sizophila Solontsi, Chuma Qawe, and Vainah Ubisi have also been instrumental, while the return of experienced campaigners Zintle Mpupha and Libbie Janse van Rensburg has further strengthened the side.

In contrast, the Boland Dames have taken a more gradual route to the final but have shown significant improvement as the tournament progressed. They average 31-23 in matches and have scored 35 tries this season.

A key boost for Boland has been the return of flyhalf Eloise Webb, whose playmaking ability has unlocked their backline attack. Zimbabwean international Rufaro Tagarira has been a constant threat in midfield, while Chloe Adams has added reliability from the kicking tee. Up front, Aseza Hele has stood out as one of the competition’s most powerful ball carriers.

The two sides last met in Round Three at the same venue, but that match was abandoned shortly after halftime due to lightning, with the Daisies holding a commanding 47-8 lead at the time after scoring seven tries.

Despite that result, Boland have grown significantly since then and are expected to pose a far tougher challenge in the final.

The Daisies’ dominance in recent seasons is undeniable, having defeated Western Province in the last three finals:

2025: 46-31

2024: 36-17

2023: 69-8

While statistics and form favour the home side, finals often bring unpredictability. Boland will be determined to upset the odds and make history, setting the stage for what could be a thrilling 80 minutes of women’s rugby.
