The DStv Diski Challenge action lit up Princess Magogo Stadium this Saturday morning, with a series of high-scoring encounters thrilling fans from as early as 10am.

It was a day dominated by attacking football, as several teams put in clinical performances in front of goal.

Golden Arrows got the day off to a strong start with a convincing 3-1 victory over TS Galaxy. Arrows showed composure and efficiency going forward, making the most of their chances to secure all three points.

One of the standout contributors, Molemo Seemela, who found the back of the net with the equaliser, highlighted the team’s mindset after the match:

“What keeps us motivated is our training sessions, our coach pushes us to do well all the time so that we can win.”

Hosts Durban City FC delivered one of the standout performances of the day, thrashing Stellenbosch FC 5-1 in a dominant display. Their attacking unit proved too sharp, overwhelming Stellenbosch with pace and precision.

In another tightly contested match, Siwelele FC edged Marumo Gallants 2-1, showing resilience to hold onto their lead in a competitive fixture.

Sekhukhune United were in complete control against Magesi FC, securing a comfortable 3-0 win with a disciplined and well-organised performance.

Meanwhile, AmaZulu FC suffered a disappointing 3-0 defeat at the hands of Orbit College FC, who produced a confident display to close off the day’s fixtures on a high note.

With plenty of goals and exciting performances, the Durban leg of the DStv Diski Challenge once again showcased the depth of young talent in South African football.
