Leicesterford City FC, competing in the Motsepe Foundation Championship after acquiring the status of JDR Stars in the off-season, have strengthened their squad with the addition of several experienced names from South African football.
Leading the charge is Phaṱhutshedzo Ṅange, the former Black Leopards, Stellenbosch FC, SuperSport United, Kaizer Chiefs, and Marumo Gallants midfielder, who has already been handed the captain’s armband in Leicesterford’s clash against Gomora United, which is currently ongoing.
Ṅange is joined by Kamogelo Mahlatsi (ex-Kaizer Chiefs and Moroka Swallows), Kenneth Nthatheni (formerly with Black Leopards, Marumo Gallants, and Venda Football Club), and Kopano Thuntsane.

Thuntsane, a former Orlando Pirates and Marumo Gallants midfielder, also featured for Bizana Pondo Chiefs during their National First Division days and was most recently part of the Bafana Bafana CHAN squad, adding valuable international experience to Leicesterford’s setup.
