Durban City were forced to settle for a 1–1 draw against Sekhukhune United F.C after a late equaliser at Chatsworth Stadium on Tuesday evening.

The hosts broke the deadlock in the 71st minute when Saziso Magawana finished off a swift counter-attack with a powerful right-footed strike into the roof of the net. However, Sekhukhune responded in the 88th minute through Orlando Pirates loanee Tshepo Mashiloane, who fired into the top right corner after being assisted by Bradley Grobler to rescue a point for the visitors.

Meanwhile, at Princess Magogo Stadium, AmaZulu F.C. and Magesi F.C. played out a goalless draw in their Betway Premiership encounter.

Magesi threatened early when Sfiso Luthuli’s 13th-minute effort narrowly missed the target, while AmaZulu came close in the 31st minute as Nkosikhona Radebe’s long-range strike was saved by Elvis Chipezeze. Despite several promising opportunities from both sides, neither team managed to find the breakthrough as the match ended in stalemate.

Looking ahead, AmaZulu will now shift their focus to the Nedbank Cup quarter-final clash against Casric Stars on 7 March, while Durban City prepare for their KZN derby against Golden Arrows in the Nedbank Cup on 8 March.
