Joel Masutha has left Kruger United FC after the club and the assistant coach mutually agreed to part ways, effective Tuesday, 6 October 2026.
Masutha’s departure comes just months after he joined the Mpumalanga-based Betway Premiership newcomers ahead of the 2026/27 season, where he worked alongside head coach Abram Mongoya.
Kruger United confirmed the split in an official statement, thanking the experienced coach for his commitment, contribution and professionalism during his time with the club.
Masutha is now reportedly set to return to Motsepe Foundation Championship side The Bees, with the club understood to have approached Kruger United for his release.
The 54-year-old previously worked at The Bees and helped the club retain their second-tier status last season. His expected return follows the departure of Duncan Lechesa, who was dismissed after a difficult start to the campaign.
Masutha has also previously coached Black Leopards, Baroka FC, Pretoria Callies, Venda FC and Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila.
