Petro de Luanda continued their remarkable consistency in the Basketball Africa League, securing a playoff spot for the sixth consecutive season after a dominant 100-75 win over Dar City on Friday.
The Angolan giants, who remain the only team to feature in all six BAL editions, improved their Kalahari Conference record to 3-1 with one game still to play. Their latest victory further cements their status as one of the competition’s most formidable sides.
Dar City, meanwhile, saw their early momentum fade after opening the campaign with back-to-back wins. They have now suffered consecutive defeats, dropping to a 2-2 record.
Leading the charge for Petro was Childe Dundao, who delivered an impressive performance with 20 points to guide his team comfortably over the line.
With the playoffs secured, Petro de Luanda will now look to build momentum heading into the knockout stages as they aim to defend their BAL crown.
