The 2025/26 Betway Premiership season was officially launched on Tuesday, Afternoon. This is the second season, with Betway as the sponsors of SA’s top flight. The launch was broadcasted live on SuperSport PSL, and brought together club coaches in anticipation of a thrilling campaign.

A highlight of the launch was the unveiling of the S’bonise & Win competition, a first‑of‑its‑kind competition for fans. Fans stand a chance of winning R20000 at every Betway Premiership match for simply standing out in their best supporters outfit.
The first round kicks off on 09 August 2025, with Champions Mamelodi Sundowns away to Chippa United, while Orlando Pirates host Sekhukhune United, Babina Noko’s Limpopo counterparts will be engaged in a Limpopo Derby as Polokwane City Host Magesi fc, at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane. The first round concludes with a bumper fixture between Kaizer Chiefs and hosts Stellenbosch Fc at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town.
