Former Mamelodi Sundowns, Polokwane City and Black Leopards striker Rodney Ramagalela has officially joined SABC Sport as a football analyst, marking a new chapter following his retirement from professional football.
The 37-year-old recently hung up his boots after sustaining serious injuries during his time at Chippa United.
Ramagalela joins Phalaphala FM as part of the station’s 2026–27 line-up, where he will serve as a football analyst under the SABC Sport banner. His appointment was confirmed by Programmes Manager Sharon Ravele.
Prior to this move, Ramagalela had already begun his transition into media, working as a football analyst on Makhado FM’s weekday sports show. He also served as an ambassador for the MTN8 during the current season.
He officially began his new role on 1 April 2026.
