Former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Jackson Mabokgwane is making a significant impact off the pitch by investing in the next generation of goalkeepers.

Based in Polokwane, Mabokgwane is dedicated to developing young goalkeepers through specialized training while also contributing to coaching development initiatives. His primary focus remains identifying and nurturing aspiring shot-stoppers, helping them build the technical and mental qualities needed to reach the professional level.

In addition to his coaching work, Mabokgwane serves as a sports analyst for SABC Sport, where he provides expert analysis .

Speaking to Limsportszone, Mabokgwane explained that his passion for giving back stems from his own journey in football and his understanding of the challenges young players face at amateur level.

I know and understand how much these youngsters dream of playing professional football and the challenges they face while trying to get there,” he said.

Mabokgwane added that he feels privileged to have represented one of Africa’s biggest clubs, Orlando Pirates Football Club, and believes it is his responsibility to pass on the knowledge and experience he gained during his time at the sea robbers and other psl teams

I was blessed to play for one of the biggest clubs on the continent, Orlando Pirates. The experience I gained there is something I want to give back to the next generation.”

Beyond coaching and television analysis, Mabokgwane is serving as a coach at maseala progressive high school and also hosts the  keepers Corner with Jackson mabogwane on Tik Tok , where he offers in-depth analysis of goalkeeping performances and discusses the art of goalkeeping following matches.
