Motsepe Foundation Championship side Leicesterford City has relocated to Limpopo to host their matches of the 2026/27 campaign at Mafori Mphahlele Stadium.
Leicesterford purchased the status of JDR Stars at the beginning of the last season and previously hosted their matches at Lucas Moripe Stadium.
The club alternatively hosted some of their matches at Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto whenever the Lucas Moripe Stadium was unavailable.
The club, owned by Limpopo-born businessman Lister Makatoane, who hails from the Jane Furse area in Sekhukhune, will return to the province to play its matches.
They will share the stadium with Amateur sides Baroka FC, who were recently relegated to the ABC Motsepe League, and Mohlabile United.
Baroka, who are the custodians of the facilities, shared on their socials on Monday, about the recent developments regarding the sharing of their facilities.
To Baroka supporters, please note that Mafori Mphahlele Stadium is hosting PSL games – notably Motsepe Foundation Championship games as one of the approved stadiums in our province.
As and when the venue is available, more matches will be hosted by Leicesterford City FC,” the Baroka Football Club statement reads.
Moreover, ABC Motsepe League matches will be hosted by Baroka FC and Mohlabile United as and when the fixture requires at the venue.
Leicesterford City secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Orbit College in their homecoming encounter this past weekend at Mafori Mphahlele Stadium.
