Stellenbosch FC advanced to the MTN8 semi-finals with a thrilling 3-2 extra-time win over AmaZulu at DHL Cape Town Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Keegan Allan gave Usuthu an early lead, but Sanele Barns responded with a brace to put Stellies in control. Tebogo Mashigo brought AmaZulu level in the second half, forcing the game into extra time. The winner came in the 108th minute, when Langelihle Phili found the net to seal victory for Steve Barker’s side.

Stellenbosch now join Sekhukhune United and Orlando Pirates in the semi-finals.

The Semifinal draw will be conducted, at Lucas Moripe Stadium after the final quarter-final between Mamelodi Sundowns and Richards Bay and will will be broadcasted live on SuperSport PSL (DStv channel 202).
