The Basketball Africa League has unveiled a star-studded entertainment lineup for the opening phase of the 2026 Kalahari Conference, with Young Stunna set to headline the Opening Night ceremony at SunBet Arena on March 27.

Running from March 27 to April 5 in Pretoria, the Kalahari Conference group stage will combine elite basketball action with top-tier entertainment. Fans can expect electrifying halftime performances from some of Africa’s biggest stars, including CIZA, Usimamane, Smallgod, Scotts Maphuma, Kamo Mphela, and Nasty C, alongside unique performance acts curated by Everywhen Experiences.
Opening night will see Young Stunna take center stage ahead of the clash between Johannesburg Giants and Dar City, setting the tone for a vibrant tournament atmosphere. Throughout the competition, fans will enjoy a dynamic mix of music, dance, and acrobatic performances, delivering an immersive entertainment experience beyond the court.
The event will also feature an interactive Fan Zone at SunBet Arena, offering official merchandise, a variety of food and beverage options, DJ sets, and engaging activities designed to enhance the fan experience.
Organised through a partnership between FIBA and NBA Africa, the Basketball Africa League continues to grow as one of the continent’s premier sporting competitions. The 2026 season will feature 12 teams, beginning with the Kalahari Conference in South Africa, followed by the Sahara Conference in Morocco. The top eight teams will then advance to the playoffs in Kigali in May.
