Betway has unveiled its new Clubhouse campaign, bringing together an all-star cast of sporting icons and ambassadors from football, Formula 1, rugby, cricket, horse racing, baseball and MMA.
The campaign is led by French football legend Thierry Henry, who stars as the Clubhouse Manager and welcomes viewers into a fictional sporting hub where some of the world’s biggest sporting personalities come together.
The star-studded cast includes Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes, teammates Kobbie Mainoo and Matheus Cunha, Formula 1 drivers Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz, six-time MLB All-Star Vladimir Guerrero Jr., former UFC Middleweight Champion Dricus du Plessis and champion jockey Paul Townend.
Manchester City stars Matheus Nunes, Erling Haaland and Antoine Semenyo also feature, alongside Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya, Noni Madueke and Viktor Gyökeres.
The campaign also showcases a strong South African presence, with Springboks Eben Etzebeth, Ox Nché and Damian Willemse enjoying biltong while watching the action unfold on the Clubhouse screens before Springbok mascot Impi makes an appearance.
South African sporting legends Victor Matfield, Jean de Villiers and football star Happy Jele face off over a game of snooker, while former Bafana Bafana star Siphiwe Tshabalala joins Spain’s Guti and Mexico’s Andrés Guardado for a game on the Clubhouse’s giant foosball table.
Cricket legends Graeme Smith and Chris Morris feature in another humorous moment, with Smith discovering that his cricket whites have unexpectedly turned pink in the Clubhouse laundry alongside Betway SA20 team shirts.
Other memorable moments include Fernandes hitting a perfect bullseye on the dart board, Guerrero Jr. accidentally smashing a baseball past the Manchester United captain, Kelly Brook landing a perfect 777 on the Clubhouse slot machine and Townend casually sinking a three-pointer.
Saatchi Sport & Entertainment, which worked with Betway on the campaign, said the project was driven by a shared ambition to create a global brand platform that matched the scale of Betway’s sporting partnerships while putting fans at the centre of the experience.
“Betway Clubhouse is the result of that ambition, a bold and entertaining creative idea designed to unite world-class talent under one distinctive brand world that can evolve across every touchpoint,” the agency said.
The campaign was filmed on bespoke sets and without the use of AI, across more than 10 shoots in global locations including London, Manchester, Nice and Johannesburg.
Production was handled by Common People alongside director Virgil Ferragut.
The Clubhouse campaign brings together Betway’s wide-ranging sporting partnerships in one creative universe, using humour, unexpected interactions and world-class sporting talent to create a distinctive platform for the brand.
