Chippa United will play their next two Betway Premiership home matches at the iconic Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto while the club’s regular home venues undergo renovations.
The move sees the Chilli Boys return to one of South Africa’s most historic football venues, a stadium synonymous with the legacy of Moroka Swallows and generations of memorable domestic football moments.
Club chairman Siviwe “Chippa” Mpengesi described the decision as an opportunity to celebrate South African football’s rich heritage while giving supporters in Gauteng a chance to rally behind the team.
The first fixture at Dobsonville Stadium will see Chippa United host Richards Bay FC on Tuesday, 11 August 2026, with kick-off scheduled for 19:30.
Tickets are priced at R60 for adults and R30 for children and are available online through Webtickets as well as at Pick n Pay stores.
Chippa United has encouraged supporters to fill the stands and be part of a special occasion as the club embraces the history and tradition of one of the country’s most celebrated football venues.
