Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder George Matlou has begun training with Stellenbosch FC as he looks to take the next step in his career following his departure from the Soweto giants.
The 27-year-old became a free agent after his contract with Kaizer Chiefs expired at the end of June, bringing his spell at Naturena to an end.
Now, the talented Soweto-born midfielder has been handed an opportunity to impress at Stellenbosch FC, where he will aim to earn a contract under head coach Gavin Hunt ahead of the new season.

Matlou will be hoping his experience and technical quality can convince the Cape Winelands outfit as he seeks a fresh start and a return to regular first-team football.
