Simon Mokibelo Ramabu is set to leave Polokwane City after the expiration of his contract on 30 June, with strong interest from clubs in North Africa, Saudi Arabia, and Gauteng teams.
Despite the end of his five-year spell with the club, Ramabu has not reported for the team’s pre-season preparations and is understood to have had no official discussions with Polokwane City regarding a new deal.
The 27-year-old winger, affectionately known as “Neymar” for his electrifying pace, flair, and exceptional dribbling ability, is eager to take the next step in his career after establishing himself as one of Polokwane City’s standout performers.

During his time with Rise and Shine, Ramabu scored more goals and consistently delivered in crucial moments, playing a key role in the club’s success.
His impressive performances also earned him a call-up to the South Africa national team for the 2025 COSAFA Cup, where he was selected by coach Vela Khumalo,and also played a big role in the chan qualifers under Molefi Ntseki.
