KwaZulu-Natal football has enjoyed a busy offseason, with promotions, coaching changes, transfers and award nominations dominating the headlines ahead of the new campaign.
Milford FC secured promotion to the Betway Premiership through the PSL Promotion Playoffs, while goalkeeper Siphamandla Hleza earned a nomination for the Motsepe Foundation Championship Goalkeeper of the Season award.
Durban City crowned a memorable season by winning the Nedbank Cup. The club has since appointed Ben Youssef Khalil as head coach, signed former Orlando Pirates defender Bandile Shandu and confirmed several player departures as they prepare for life in the top flight.
At Richards Bay FC, Papi Zothwane has joined Sekhukhune United F.C. as assistant coach, with Ronnie Gabriel taking over as head coach. Sbangani Zulu has moved to Orlando Pirates FC, while Tlakusani Mthethwa departs following the expiry of his contract.
Golden Arrows appointed Pitso Dladla as head coach, alongside assistant coach James Madidilane and goalkeeper coach Jacob Mokhasi. Isaac Cisse is nominated for PSL Young Player of the Season, while Siyanda Ndlovu received a Goal of the Season nomination before completing his move to Mamelodi Sundowns F.C..
Elsewhere, AmaZulu FC have strengthened their squad with the signing of Omega Mdaka from Stellenbosch F.C..
