The countdown to the 2026 KwaZulu-Natal Premier’s Cup officially began on Wednesday as the tournament’s media launch and draw took place, with venues, dates and opening fixtures confirmed.
KwaZulu-Natal Premier Thamsanqa Ntuli announced that this year’s edition will be staged across two venues, Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium in Clermont and Princess Magogo Stadium in KwaMashu, on 25 and 26 July 2026.
The annual pre-season tournament will feature six of the province’s top clubs: AmaZulu FC, Richards Bay FC, Lamontville Golden Arrows, Durban City FC, Milford FC and Midlands Wanderers FC.
As part of the tournament’s community outreach programme, all participating clubs will also visit local schools to conduct coaching clinics ahead of the competition.
The opening day’s action at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium promises exciting encounters, beginning with newly-promoted Milford FC taking on Lamontville Golden Arrows at 10:00.
Durban City FC will then face Richards Bay FC at 13:00 before AmaZulu FC lock horns with Midlands Wanderers FC in the final fixture of the day at 16:00.
With clubs using the tournament to fine-tune preparations for the upcoming Betway Premiership season, the KZN Premier’s Cup once again promises to showcase the province’s football talent while giving supporters an early glimpse of their teams ahead of the new campaign.
