The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has released the draft fixtures for the 2026/27 Betway Premiership season, with clubs now learning the road that lies ahead in what promises to be another highly competitive campaign.
The new season will kick off on Saturday, 1 August 2026, with defending champions Orlando Pirates beginning the defence of their Betway Premiership crown against newly promoted, Milford FC at the Orlando Amstel Arena. Elsewhere, Mamelodi Sundowns will host Marumo Gallants at Loftus Versfeld Stadium, while Kaizer Chiefs travel to Mbombela Stadium to face another newly promoted side, Kruger United.
Limpopo clubs also have an exciting start to the campaign. Sekhukhune United will host Durban City FC at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium on the opening day, while Polokwane City begin their season away to Richards Bay FC on Sunday, 2 August.
One of the standout fixtures in the opening month sees Kaizer Chiefs host Mamelodi Sundowns at FNB Stadium on 15 August, while the return clash is scheduled for 6 February 2027 at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in what is expected to be another blockbuster encounter between two of South African football’s biggest clubs.
Supporters can also look forward to the season’s first Soweto Derby, with Orlando Pirates hosting Kaizer Chiefs on 31 October 2026. The return fixture is scheduled for 13 March 2027, with both encounters expected to have a major influence on the title race and the battle for league honours.
Limpopo supporters can also look forward to the provincial derby as Sekhukhune United host Polokwane City on 15 August at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium.
The campaign will conclude on 22 May 2027, when all eight final-round fixtures kick off simultaneously. Among the headline clashes on the final day are Polokwane City against Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs hosting Richards Bay FC, and TS Galaxy taking on Sekhukhune United.
The fixture list has been structured to accommodate the MTN8, Carling Knockout, Nedbank Cup, CAF inter-club competitions and FIFA international windows, with several alternative league dates reserved for clubs competing in continental tournaments throughout the season.
