Orlando Pirates have confirmed the departure of assistant coach Mandla Ncikazi, who is set to take up a head coaching position at another Betway Premiership club.
Ncikazi had expressed his desire to return to head coaching during discussions with management earlier on Thur. Pirates have granted him permission to pursue the opportunity.
Ncikazi leaves the Buccaneers having contributed to nine trophy wins as part of the club’s technical team. He served predominantly as assistant coach and had a brief spell as co-coach in 2025.
Orlando Pirates chairman Dr Irvin Khoza thanked Ncikazi for his service and wished him well in his next chapter.
“Mandla leaves with our gratitude and our blessing. His contribution to Orlando Pirates has been evident throughout his time with us,” Khoza said.
“We respect his wish to pursue this new opportunity and wish him success as he takes on a new responsibility.”
