Stellenbosch Women has bought UCT’s spot in the Hollywoodbets Super League, earning promotion to the top division after dominating the Western Cape Sasol Women’s League.
This marks a significant milestone for the club, which had a standout 2025 season in the Western Cape Sasol Women’s League, winning all 18 matches and scoring 93 goals.
The team’s promotion is a result of UCT’s decision to focus on student football, creating an opportunity for Stellenbosch Women to take their place in the top tier. CEO Rob Benadie confirmed the move, stating that the club is awaiting ratification from SAFA CT.
