Motsepe Foundation Championship side Venda Football Club have unveiled their new acquisitions ahead of the 2026/27 season campaign.
The Limpopo-based outfit, which finished 9th last season in the Championship, will look to build on the foundation they laid last campaign and challenge for promotion.
With the Motsepe Foundation Championship kicking off this weekend, the Vhembe-based outfit announced 12 new arrivals on Wednesday in Makhado.
Donald Makgetlwa, Goodman Chirwa, and Pfunzo Ramunasu have joined Venda FC from Black Leopard following their relegation to the ABC Motsepe League.
Bonginkosi Makume, who was previously with Baroka FC, has also been unveiled by Venda FC alongside Cameron Carmell, Shaun Morgan, Cohan-John Daniels, Bongani Mpande, Steven Goovadia, Tumi Tshabalala and Mashiku Muyeka.
Former Cape Town City striker Douglas Mapfumo has also joined Venda FC ahead of what promises to be an exciting campaign for the Limpopo-based side.

Head Coach Clinton Larsen says his side is eyeing nothing less than promotion in the upcoming campaign, as he believes he has enough in his arsenal to achieve it.
Our plan is simple – Promotion. Promotion is the plan because I think we have put together here to try and help us achieve that,” Larsen told the Media.
We have always said that if we are given enough time as the technical team, we will deliver on that promise; of course, we trust our abilities as coaches.
We believe that the team we have assembled is a very strong team. If you look at players we brought in, we’ve not gone for big names, but we’ve gone for big talents.
There’s a big, big talent. Previously we made mistakes going for big names, but this time around [we went for big talent].
We’re very happy of the players we brought on board, players who are hungry to play in the next level, and we believe they got the ability to help us achieve that.
Venda FC will kick-start their 2026/27 campaign at home when they welcome Leruma Lions at Thohoyandou Stadium on Saturday, 22 August at 15h00.
