Fagrie Lakay has signed a permanent deal with Egyptian Premier League side Ceramica Cleopatra FC after a successful loan spell from Pyramids FC during the 2024/25 season.
Lakay rose to prominence in South Africa with Santos, before stints at SuperSport United and most notably Cape Town City, where he developed into one of the countryโs most promising attackers. His move to Pyramids FC in 2022 marked his first international club venture, but a lack of regular minutes led to the loan switch to Cleopatra, a move that has now paid off.

The 26-year-old has already featured for the South African national team and is determined to earn his way back into Hugo Broos’ plans, especially with key continental qualifiers and the Africa Cup of Nations on the horizon.
