As the 2025/26 Betway Premier Soccer League campaign kicks off on August 8th, the transfer window remains open and teams are busy strengthening their squads. Orlando Pirates have been quick off the mark, making several new signings, while other clubs are making significant moves.
Orlando Pirates:
The Buccaneers have made a series of high-profile signings, securing the futures of players like Yanela Mbuthuma, Masindi Nemtajela, Tshepang Moremi, Nkosikhona Ndaba, Sinoxolo Kwayiba, Tshepo Mashiloane, Sihle Nduli, Kamogelo Sebelebele, and their standout additions: Oswin Appollis and Sipho Mbule.
However, these fresh arrivals have meant that Pirates had to part ways with a few players. Captain Innocent Maela and Miguel Timm were among the first to be released, with Timm joining Sekhukhune United. Thabiso Monyane and Paseko Mako were later let go and have moved to Kaizer Chiefs. Other departures include Mohau Nkota (who joined Saudi Arabian club Al-Ettifaq) and Azola Tshobeni (who moved to Chippa United), Philip Ndlondlo and Zakhele Lepasa are yet to find new homes.

In addition, Pirates have loaned Monnapule Saleng, Yanga Madiba, and Thuso Moleleki to the newly promoted Orbit College to get game time.
Kaizer Chiefs:
Amakhosi have also been active in the market, bringing in a few new faces. Ethan Chislett, from Port Vale, Nkanyiso Shinga, from FC Alverca, Flavio Silva from Persebaya Surabaya, and Siphesihle Ndlovu from SuperSport United have all made the switch to Chiefs.
The club has, however, said goodbye to some of their players. Mduduzi Mdantsane, Edmilson Dove, Njabulo Blom, Sabelo Radebe, and Ranga Chivaviro have all left, with the biggest news being the sale of captain Yusuf Maart to an Austrian club (SV Ried).

Mamelodi Sundowns:
Mamelodi Sundowns, known for their dominance in the league, have released a number of players, including Rivaldo Coetzee, Sipho Mbule, Lucas Suarez, Lebohang Maboe, Sifiso Ngobeni, Thabang Sibanyoni, and Sanele Tshabalala. Additionally, Kobamelo Kodisang has secured a loan move to the Portuguese Premier League club AVS Futebol SAD. Despite the exits, the Brazilians have yet to make any signings as they wait to bolster their squad ahead of the new season.

The PSL transfer window to close on September 22nd.
