AmaZulu FC has significantly strengthened their squad ahead of the 2025/26 Betway Premiership campaign, unveiling four new signings during a media briefing led by club President Sandile Zungu.
Thando Ngwenya (Forward, 22, Zimbabwean)
Ngwenya joins Usuthu from Zimbabwean champions FC Platinum on a contract running until June 2027. The talented striker caught the eye during the 2025 COSAFA Cup, where he scored two goals and demonstrated great promise with his pace and finishing ability.

Darren Johnson (Goalkeeper, 28)
Johnson arrives as a free agent after parting ways with Chippa United. A reliable and experienced shot-stopper, he brings much-needed depth and competition to AmaZulu’s goalkeeping department ahead of a demanding season.

Keegan Allan (Defender, 24)
The former Richards Bay defender has signed on a free transfer. Known for his physical presence and versatility in defence, Allan adds stability and options at the back for the Usuthu technical team.

Ryan Moon (Forward, 28)
Moon, who previously played for Kaizer Chiefs and most recently Golden Arrows, also joins as a free agent. With a wealth of top-flight experience, he is expected to bring additional firepower and tactical maturity to AmaZulu’s forward line.

AmaZulu will begin their 2025/26 campaign with a Wafa Wafa MTN8 quarterfinal clash against Stellenbosch FC on Sunday, 3 August 2025. The match marks an important test for the newly reinforced squad as they aim to make a strong start to the season.
