The SPAR Proteas netball team is on fire! Recent victories against England and Uganda have solidified their position as a force to be reckoned with in international netball.
In a thrilling series win against England, the Proteas secured a 2-1 triumph, with a resounding 65-50 win in Johannesburg. Standout performances from Sanmarie Visser and Owethu Ngubane led the team to victory, showcasing their skill and teamwork on home soil.
This win follows hot on the heels of their fifth Africa Netball Cup title, where they defeated Uganda 56-34 in Lilongwe, Malawi. Coach Jenny van Dyk praised her team’s tactical discipline, saying;
“Today was a clinical performance and just a team that responded so well to the plan and to what we knew we had to get done out there today.”
