The CAF Club Rankings for 2025 are now out, with Mamelodi Sundowns leading the pack as the highest-ranked South African team. The Brazilians finished as runners-up in the recent CAF Champions League, securing 62 points and are ranked 2nd, just behind North African giants Al Ahly.
Following their semifinal exit in the CAF Champions League, Orlando Pirates are ranked 15th with 30 points, making them the second-highest ranked South African club. Stellenbosch FC ranks 21st with 15 points after their exit in the CAF Confederation Cup semifinals.

- Kaizer Chiefs: 50th
- Sekhukhune United: 51st
- AmaZulu: 55th
