Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies have officially signed 21-year-old Ronnel Donnelly from the University of the Western Cape (UWC). Donnelly, who has been a standout talent in the South African women’s league, joins Sundowns after a solid season with UWC.

Donnelly was part of the Banyana Banyana squad during the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), where South Africa finished in fourth place. Although not a regular starter, she made an impact in the tournament, scoring a goal in South Africa’s dominant 4-0 victory over Mali in the quarterfinals.

Her move to Sundowns Ladies strengthens their already impressive squad and adds depth to their attacking options. Sundowns, a dominant force in both domestic and continental competitions, will look to Donnelly to contribute her skill and versatility as they pursue further success in the upcoming seasons.
